Silver City Clay Festival

I am leading a decorating & hand building workshop, “Clay As Art”, this June at Bear Mountain Lodge during the Silver City, NM Clay Festival. I will demonstrate various methods for elevating “clay to art”. This will include such elements as carving, texture, sgrafitto, black wax, repoussé and painting with slips & under-glazes. Workshop participants will have hands-on experiences hand building forms to apply these various techniques; making tools, engineering a whistle to become a sculpture, creating animals & decorating a piece with texture, under-glazes & black wax.
